I love boxes.
I never officially declared that I collect them, but in the past few years I gathered up so many boxes that the only way to call it is a “collection”.
In the world we live in today, in which packaging is a temporary thing, thrown away careless, I think there is something magical about a box, that not not only guards our dearest possessions, but also has a life of its own, sometimes more interesting and colorful than of it’s content’s.
I purchased most of my boxes in small shops and boutiques I discovered while traveling. Shops that were so special that I wanted to buy everything, although nothing was actually of any use for me.
In such a situation, a box seems like an amazingly useful item.
Quote: “What do you mean ‘what do you need this for’? It’s a box! You can put stuff in it”!
These are some of my favorite boxes.
1. Lunchbox style cardboard trunks from Kate’s Paperie in NYC
2. I got this lovely metal box from my sister, who knows exactly what I like
3. These boxes were chewing gum packages. I coated them with colorful paper to give them a new life.
4. This is my jewelry box, and a peek to what’s inside it these days. It’s a wodden box which I painted a few years ago.

And here are some boxes I wouldn’t mind adding to the collection:

1. Pillow boxes from Lilithevy
2. Stationary box owls from Loli crafts
3. Fishermans Tackle Box from Hindsvik
4. Vintage flowered metal file box from Sleepy Owl Vintage
5. Vintage Debutante Lunch Box from The Vintage Wife
6. Metal Box with Eiffel Tower from Felicity and Allen’s shop
